Norma Jean Edson

Norma Jean Edson, 85, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, of Poolville, formerly of Bedford, Texas, passed away on Monday, April 19, 2021, in Fort Worth.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Saturday afternoon, April 24, 2021, at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, in Weatherford, Texas.

Norma was born on December 7, 1935, in North Loupe, Nebraska, to William and Muriel Stanton. She enjoyed dancing and gardening. Most of all, Norma cherished time spent with her family.

Norma is survived by her beloved daughters, Joni George, Julie Hatfield, and Jackie (Keith) Hill; her grandchildren, Charles Roberson, Courtney Hatfield, and Andraya Walther and Rowan Walther; her great-grandchildren, Olivia Roberson and Rowan Walter; and by her siblings, Myrle Gradin and Wayne Stanton.

In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her husband, David George, and by her siblings, Elinor Olson, Muriel Resen, Bill Stanton and Gerald Stanton.
