Opal E Cooper

September 29, 1913 — October 25, 2010

With heavy hearts but a joyful spirit, Opal our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend, was picked Sunday night to dance on the greatest dance stage within the universe, before our Lord. For those that didn’t know Opal, there were three great passions in her life, the Lord, family and friends and of course dancing! Opal was born September 29, 1913 in Adell, TX.    She was a homemaker, and member of the Ashbury Methodist Church in Haltom City.  Mrs. Cooper was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred Thomas and Rosa Lee Rutledge, and her husband, Vic Cooper.  A very special thanks goes out to the staff at Martin Crest Assisted Living. Survivors include son, Gary Cooper and wife Janet of Weatherford; sister, Frankie Hensley of Weatherford; grandson, Austin Cooper.
Visitation will be 5-7 PM, Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at the funeral home.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, October 28, 2010 in the Greenwood Baptist Church.

Interment will be at Bluebonnet Hills Cemetery in Colleyville.
