Opal Williamson

  Opal Williamson, age 96, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2014 in Weatherford.

  Graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 28, at 10:00 a.m., at Memory Gardens, with Melanie Cottle-Gregory officiating. There will be no formal family visitation at the funeral home.

  Opal was born January 26, 1918, in Eastland County, Texas, to William and Fanny Taylor Brown. She was a longtime resident of Weatherford.

  Survivors include daughters, Betty Peoples and husband, Melvin of Weatherford; Earnestine Sutherland of Mansfield; son, Bob Williamson and wife, Colita of Hurst; 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

  Opal was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Williamson; one sister, eight brothers, and her parents, William and Fanny Brown.

  Services are under the direction of Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
