Oralia Bundy

  Oralia Bundy, age 90, peacefully departed from this life on Friday, August 2, 2024. She was born on November 6, 1933, in Hondo, Texas, to Juan Nieto and Josephine Garcia Nieto.

  Known affectionately as "Mom," Oralia dedicated her life to her family and raised her children with a balance of discipline and love. Her great sense of humor, boundless joy, and constant radiance of happiness endeared her to all who knew her. Not just a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother, but also an exceptional cook, Oralia's talents in the kitchen brought comfort and joy to those around her.

  An active member of the Adell Community Fellowship, Oralia found peace in her faith. An avid Texas Rangers fan, she cherished attending games, with Nolan Ryan holding a special place in her heart as her favorite player of all time. Music was another passion of hers, particularly the melodies of Elvis Presley.

  In addition to her parents, Oralia was preceded in death by her husband, William Bundy, and by her sister, Elodia Salazar.

  She is survived by her children, Marge Adcock, and husband, Todd, Richard Bundy and wife, Brenda, Anthony Bundy and wife, Debbie, Becky Blankenship and husband, Billy, and Kathy Harris and husband, Donald; along with fourteen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Ruth Harwood and Rosa Lee Flager.

  Oralia's legacy of love and warmth will always be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know her.

  A funeral ceremony honoring Oralia's life will take place at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, in Weatherford, Texas. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Poe Prairie Cemetery. Pallbearers for the ceremony will be Chris Harris, Montrell Polk, Jamie Craft, Joshua Andrews, Sam Hernandez, and Bobby Woodward.

  Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation hours from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., held on Friday, August 9, 2024, at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, in Weatherford.
