Patricia Jane Bradley

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia Jane Bradley on July 7, 2024, at the age of 70. Pat was born on August 3, 1953, in Michigan City, Indiana, to Raymond and Mary Jane Helsing. 

Pat met the love of her life and beloved husband, James Robert Bradley at Big Rapids High School. She went on to Butterworth College, where she earned a degree in nursing. Pat was a passionate nurse specializing in community health care while living in California and Michigan. She decided to continue her education and earned a Doctorate in Nursing from Indiana University. Pat became a nursing professor and passed her love for the career on to others at Ferris State University, Indiana-Purdue University and Texas Christian University. She retired from TCU after 18 years of service to the university. 

While education and career were important to Pat, her true love was family. Pat and Jim raised two boys, Jeff and Jared. She enjoyed traveling for family gatherings in Sarasota, Gulf Shores, and Northern Michigan, as well as leisurely travel abroad to Europe and participated in several cruises later in life with Jim and friends to a wide variety of places across the globe. 

Pat joins Jim in heaven after his passing in January 2021. She is survived by sons, Jeff and Jared; daughters-in-law, Ashley and Aimee; grandchildren, Raylon, Hailey, Olivia, and Madison; siblings, Kathy Bray and David Helsing; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at DFW National Cemetery, on Thursday, August 8th, at 10:15 a.m.
