On Saturday, February 9, 2019, Patsy Lou Holder Savage, returned home to be with her Lord, and live in eternal peace with her husband John W. Savage.
Visitation will be held Saturday, February 16, from 10 A.M. until 11 A.M., at Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, in Weatherford. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 11 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
Patsy was born September 8, 1926, in Archer City, Texas, to parents Loie B. and Lonnie J. Holder. She was the fourth of ten children in the Holder family. Patsy lived in Parker County most of her life, where she graduated from Weatherford High School and Weatherford Business College. After graduation, she began working for AAA in 1944.
In 1946, Patsy married John W. Savage in Weatherford, Texas, where they had 2 daughters, Mary Kathryn Savage Taylor (Wheat Ridge, Colorado) and Carolyn Savage Bruno (Weatherford, Texas).
After holding several jobs through the years, Patsy Savage retired from Campbell Memorial Hospital in 1991 after 21 years.
Patsy will be remembered for the way she loved and cherished each of her children, Kathy and Carolyn, as well as, her grandchildren, Jeff, Jennifer, Reagan and Austin. Patsy was a member of Friendship Baptist Church since 1960.
Patsy is preceded in death by her husband, John W. Savage (1989), her parents, Lonnie J. and Loie B. Holder, her sisters Betty Jo Holder, Doris Marie Holder, Janell Holder Owen, Mary Holder Hodge, LaRae Holder Linville and brother Don Paul Holder.
Patsy Savage will forever be loved and missed by her surviving family, daughter Kathy Taylor (Wheat Ridge, Colorado), daughter Carolyn Bruno, and her husband, Richard (Weatherford, Texas), grandson Jeffrey Taylor (McMinnville, Oregon ), granddaughter Jennifer Hamer, and her husband, David (Wheat Ridge, Colorado), granddaughter Reagan Coutorie, and her husband, Sean (Theodore, Alabama), grandson Austin Bruno (Weatherford), along with two great-grandchildren, brothers, L.J. “Sonny” Holder (Eliasville, Texas), Jerry Holder (Weatherford), Jimmy Holder, and his wife, Leta Faye (Weatherford), and multiple nieces and nephews.
