Paul William “Bill” Tibbetts
October 24, 1936 – October 6, 2019

Bill and Sandy recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War as an Airman Apprentice who brought aircraft in and launched them off his carrier at sea.
Bill could fix anything and was known as an accomplished mechanic. He loved guns and hunting. He especially delighted in spending time with his sons in the outdoors and enjoyed their hunting excursions together. They would always laugh while reminiscing about their experiences. He was always interested and involved in the boys’ sports. He loosely offered his honest, and at times, brutally honest advice and redirection, while loving and encouraging the boys in all their endeavors.
Bill grew up in Arlington, Texas, and, after moving to Weatherford in 1994, he accepted Christ as his Savior. He loved going to church with his family. His love for Christ spurred on an even deeper appreciation of the beauty of nature; life had more meaning.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Sandy and their two sons, Ty Tibbetts and his wife Vicki and Tod Tibbetts. Bill was the proud Pawpaw of four grandchildren: Jarryd Tibbetts, Torri Tibbetts, Brittany Varrone, and Cody Polvado, and four great-grandchildren: Zoi, Ezekiel, and Isaac Tibbetts and Madison Varrone. Bill had two brothers, one who has preceded him in death, and three sisters.
