Paulette Wade Kiel

September 3, 1951 — April 3, 2018

Paulette Wade Kiel, 66, of Palo Pinto went to be with the Lord on April 3, 2018, at Baylor Scott and White Hospice in Fort Worth, Texas. Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 6, 2018, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N Elm St. Weatherford, Texas 76086. Funeral: 2:00 p.m., Saturday, in the Lone Camp Community Center, 7200 South FM 4, Palo Pinto, Texas 76484.

Paulette was born on September 03, 1951, in Houston Texas. Daughter of Lester “Red” Odel Wade and Edna Wade. She grew up mostly in the Weatherford area but the family transferred to Midland for a brief time. She attended Midland High where she won Miss Secretarial of the year and graduated in 1969. That title served her well as she continued those skills after high school. Paulette worked in the Dallas- Fort Worth area for several years in various administrative secretarial positions. She became a district court coordinator for the Hill County Courthouse in Hillsboro where she met the love of her life, Warren Kiel. Her heart was complete and they were married on June 05, 1993 in Malone, Texas.

Paulette was a fantastic cook and enjoyed cooking at family gatherings. She enjoyed the company of all around her and you didn’t have to be blood related to be part of the family. Together they traveled and went on campouts and enjoyed sitting around a campfire listening to music as Warren made her laugh at his terrible jokes. He rewarded her by frequently serenading tender ballads that expressed his love for her.

Paulette was the hummingbird whisperer and she could salvage the most dilapidated plant that her daughters would shamefully bring to her for rescue. She loved to paint sculptures and crochet. She rarely asked for anything fancy, but she loved to dress up for every special occasion. She treasured our father and was the epitome of an obedient wife to him. She served him as the bible guided her to and he returned serving her during her illness, until death did they part.

Paulette was preceded in death by her parents, Lester “Red” Wade and Edna Wade; grandparents, Luther and Geneva Hamby of Weatherford, Texas; and her beloved Lab/Great Pyranees, “Cola Bear”.

Survivors include her loving husband of almost 25 years, Warren Gerard Kiel of Palo Pinto, Texas; four daughters, Heather Greenwood and Tim Brown, Victoria Macias and Ben Macias, Taira Davis and Jason Davis, and Natalie Marriott; grandchildren: Timothy Chancellor, Chloe Brown, Mikaela Macias, Rhett Macias, Tylor Snow (and wife, Lacee Snow), Dakota Price, Chase Price, Catarino Davis, and Natasha Marriott. Paulette had one great granddaughter she loved dearly, Hazel Jane Snow, countless extended family, and one spoiled rotten little Yorkie, named “Pebbles” or “Scribbles” as Chloe calls her.
