Peggy Sue Richard-Heap

Peggy Sue Richards Heap, 75, passed away at her home in Granbury Saturday morning, April 15, 2017. A Memorial & Celebration of Life service has been scheduled for Sunday, May 7th from 11 am - 3 pm at Sky Harbor Community Club House, 2707 Galaxy St. in Granbury, TX 76049

Peggy was born Apr. 9, 1942 in Scurry County near Hermleigh, TX to David Andrew Richards Sr. & Emma Evans Richards, the 10th child of 10 siblings. Peggy’s family moved to Weatherford, where she graduated from Weatherford High School in 1960. Peggy married David Heap from Oswego, IL in August that same year. Peggy was employed for many years at the Houston Post newspaper.

Peggy loved the Lord, her family, the many kitty cats who stepped into her life and purred their way into her heart, and having tea at the Dallas Arboretum.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband David in 1999; her parents, and 7 siblings: Myrtle “Montie” Jean Richards Sager; Curtis, Bill, & Jack Richards; Juanita Richards Smith; David Andrew “Tuny” Richards; & Nancy Ann Richards Driver Gandee.

Survivors: Gene C Richards & wife Judy of N. Richland Hills, and Bob Richards & wife Ruby of Weatherford; and many cousins, nephews & nieces who dearly loved her.
