Polly Brown

Polly Brown, age 97, of Weatherford, died Monday afternoon, January 17, 2011 in a local nursing facility.  Born July 26, 1913 in Gibtown, Texas, a resident of Weatherford for many years.  She was a homemaker, retired cook for the Weatherford Independent School District and member of the North Side Baptist Church.  Polly loved crocheting, gardening, cooking, quilting and sewing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Brown and a daughter, Charlene Brown. Polly is survived by her daughter, Sandra Moss and husband, Ray of Weatherford; sons, Charles Brown and wife, Frances of Weatherford and Donald Brown and wife, Sherry of Weatherford; seven grandchildren; Phyllis Hobson, Gina Brown, Karen Hodge, Kathy Hughey, Doug Brown, Lisa Hicks and Mike Moss; 10 great grandchildren, Jake, Grayson, Ben, Kourtney, Shelby, Ella, Trace, Matt, Claire, Micah.
 
Funeral service will be held at 2 PM, Friday, January 21, 2011 at the North Side Baptist Church with interment in East Greenwood Cemetery. 

Visitation will be 6-8 PM, Thursday, January 20, 2011 at the funeral home
Memorials may be made to North Side Baptist Church Building Fund.
