Raymond Eugene Mayfield, Jr.

Raymond Eugene Mayfield Jr., 64, of Weatherford, passed away Friday, May 30, 2014 in the local hospital. Raymond was born August 28, 1949 in Colorado City, Texas to Raymond Edward Mayfield, Sr. and Ruth Davis Mayfield. Mr. Mayfield joined the US Army and proudly served his country. He was a former resident of Lamesa where he was a member of Crestview Baptist Church. He worked in the oilfield as a mud logger, liked to fish and enjoyed traveling.  Most of all he loved his kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Edward Mayfield. He is survived by his children, Donna Ruth Hinkle and husband Charles of Fort Worth, Tim Mayfield of Williston, ND, Gene Mayfield of Bull Head City, AZ, Larry Mayfield of Springtown, Drex Mayfield of Rhome and Kati Johnson and husband DJ of Andrews; numerous grandchildren,  two great grandchildren and many other loving family and friends. Mr. Mayfield is also survived by the kind and caring staff of Santa Fe Health and Rehab.
