Rex E. Bryant, 84, passed away Monday, July 9, 2007. Known to everyone as “Pa”, Rex will be missed by many for his jovial outlook and loving attitude. He was a Lockheed Martin retiree, a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Air Corps, a World War II Veteran and POW. Rex established Copperhead Ranch in Poolville in 1953 where he raised Appaloosa and quarter horses. Following retirement, Rex enjoyed spending time with his large family, playing tennis with the Senior Olympics and enjoyed painting and drawing western scenes. Rex is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Edward and Nita Louise Isham Bryant, brother, William A. Bryant and twin brother, Max Bryant and a granddaughter, Brooke Denise Rogers. In addition to many friends, Rex is survived by his wife, Mary E. of Fort Worth; daughters, Beth Yee and husband Tony of Rochester, MN and Barbara Pape and husband Glenn of San Marcos; sons, Bill Bryant and wife Lynda of Poolville and Bruce Bryant and wife Mary of Kingsbury, TX; sister, Dorothy Welch and husband Jack of Chicago, IL; other children by marriage include, Terry Rogers and wife Rhonda, Eddie Rogers and wife Debbie and Liz Edder and husband Gunny; 20 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Memorial Service: 2 PM, Friday, July 13th in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be mailed to the Poolville Volunteer Fire Department, Poolville, Texas 76487
