Rex Timothy Hughes

Rex Timothy Hughes, age 71, passed from this life Wednesday, December 2, 2020, in a local nursing home. Rex was born January 6, 1949, in Sacramento, California. He was a retired Custodian working for Weatherford Independent School District for over 30 years. Rex was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Weatherford, where he sang in the choir. He also played piano and organ for his Sunday School Class. Rex will be remembered for his kind compassionate personality. He never met a stranger and will be missed by his family and friends.

Rex is survived by his mother, Juanita Atkins of Weatherford; uncle, Billy Sager of Weatherford; four nieces, and one nephew.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, December 6, 2020, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 7, 2020, at Curtis Cemetery.
