Rhonda Carol Mathison

Rhonda Carol Mathison, 68, of Weatherford, passed away early Friday, August 19, 2016, at Plaza Hospital in Fort Worth.
A funeral service celebrating her life will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, in Weatherford. Visitation will be held from 9am until the time of the service, Wednesday, at the funeral home. Burial will be private at Annetta Cemetery at a later date.
Rhonda was born September 3, 1947 in Lubbock, Texas. She was raised in the Pythian Home in Weatherford. Rhonda married Phillip Mathison on August 28, 1968 and together had two children, Todd and Tonya. She worked as a nurse at Harris Hospital in downtown Fort Worth and retired after 25 years of service. Rhonda was long-time member of South Side Baptist Church. She enjoyed watching Sci-Fi movies, shopping, and was an avid animal lover. She enjoyed being around other people. Most of all, Rhonda cherished time spent with her family – especially watching her grandkids at their sporting events.
Rhonda is survived by her loving husband, Phillip; children, Todd (Dawn) Mathison and Tonya (Cody) Martin; grandchildren, Taylor Mathison, Chris Willmer, Ty and Kodilyn Martin; sister, Pam Roberson-Hill; and by numerous family members and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Rhonda was preceded in death by her sister, Vicki Roberson and by her brother, Billy Roberson.
