Richard Allen Maxwell

Richard Allen Maxwell passed from this life on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at age 63. He was born October 12, 1959, in Van Nuys, California to Danton Maxwell and Norma (Bennett) Maxwell. Richard married the love of his life, Lisa Marian O'Donald, in September of 1993. They were blessed with two sons, and he was a wonderful father and role model.

Richard had a passion for music unlike any other. He shared this love and expressed his emotions with his guitar. He never failed to create something new out of something old and always repurposed everything he could. He was an active thinker, researcher, creator, and lifelong learner and always voiced his opinions on all subjects. Before moving to Texas, Richard played professional darts receiving multiple awards along with earning the title for the number one dart team in California. Richard could spend hours playing and creating music and would often forget about cooking dinner, but he would always pull it off in the end. In addition to his many personal pursuits, Richard will be remembered for his cooking, drawing, and decorating skills, but music was his passion and he spent many hours writing music and lyrics.

Richard was preceded in death by mother, Norma (Bennett) Maxwell.

Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Lisa Marian Maxwell of Aledo, Texas; sons, Nicholas Maxwell and Alexander Maxwell; father, Danton Maxwell; siblings, Patricia Pierce and James Maxwell; and loving friends.
