Richard C. Ray

Richard C. Ray, 67 of Millsap passed away passed away peacefully Monday evening, October 25, 2010 at Weatherford Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family. He suffered for several years with Pulmonary Fibrosis. A native of Texas, he was born July 22, 1943 in Stephenville. He lived in Millsap for 55 years. He was retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone/AT&T Inc. Richard was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the US Navy from May 1964-May 1968. He was stationed in San Diego, CA, Memphis, TN and aboard the USS Constellation. Richard enjoyed restoring antique tractors and riding his 4-wheeler with his dog, Spud. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Millsap.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, J.O. and Myrtle Ray; sister, Faye Ray and a brother Roy Ray.
Survivors include his wife Joy Ray; daughter Tricia Ray both of Millsap; sisters, Dorothy Boon of Wichita Falls and Peggy Butler and husband Curtis of Stephenville; brothers, Joe Ray and wife Helen of Park Hill, Oklahoma and Donald Ray and wife Charlotte of Rising Star; numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside: 11 AM, Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Woodland Park Cemetery in Mineral Wells.
