Richard David Simpson

Richard Simpson, 71 of Fort Worth, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2016 in a Fort Worth hospital. Rick was born July 23, 1944 in Amarillo to Homer and Faye Raney Simpson.  He worked as a carpenter and was a member of Connell Baptist Church. He enjoyed working in his yard, ranching, watching the Dallas Cowboys, listening to music and playing instruments. A highlight of Rick’s life was watching Air Force One land with President Kennedy on board.  Rick is survived by his wife of 42 years Peggy, his son Ricky Simpson of Dallas, his brother James Simpson of Annetta and Luther Simpson of Austin.  Rick is preceded in death by his parents and his brother John Simpson.



Graveside service: 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Tin Top Cemetery.  Ron Ebert will officiate. Visitation 6-8 PM Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
