Richard “Rick” Wayne Wooten, 61, of Springtown, loving father, grandfather, son, brother and friend passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2019, following a brief illness.
Visitation will be held Saturday afternoon, February 23, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, in Weatherford. A memorial service celebrating his life will begin at 2:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
Rick was born February 6, 1958, in Fort Worth, to Don and Carolyn Wooten. He retired form Nordam Transparence Division after 30 years of employment. Rick will be remembered as being a hard and dedicated worker who loved to travel and enjoyed the outdoors. Most of all, Rick will affectionately be remembered for his love and devotion to his family – particularly his children and grandchildren.
Rick is survived by his daughters, Leslie (Stan Johnson) Wooten and Amanda (Rob) Adams; grandchildren, Zane, Caraline, William, and Brody; his father, Don Wooten; his siblings, Connie (Art) Hencke and Dusty (Sandy) Wooten; aunt, Annette Mathis; uncle, Gerald (Nancy) Wooten; and by numerous nephews and cousins; and by his life-long friend, Liz Wooten.
Rick was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Wooten and by his grandparents.
Memorials in Rick’s memory may be made to either Alzheimer’s research or to the American Diabetes Association.
