Robert "Bobby" Dewayne Kinman

June 15, 1952 — April 3, 2023

On Monday, April 3, 2023, Robert Dewayne Kinman went to his heavenly home, pain free, resting and at peace.

Bobby served in the United States Army from 1972-1974 with an honorable discharge. He then worked for the US Postal Service. Retiring from there, Bobby started building custom homes. He loved working for his son, Rustin Kinman, doing construction for 16 years. One of his prize projects was renovation of Fort Worth Zoo and renovation of Fort Worth Stockyards, Mule Barn, and Hotel Drover.

Bobby’s favorite pastime was yard work. He was known for his beautiful yard and was once awarded with the "Yard of the Month" sign from Weatherford. Bobby loved working outside and creating beauty with plants and beachy tropical landscapes. He left his yard talent in a lot of places. Bobby had a servant's heart, loving to help out neighbors and friends.

Bobby and his wife loved beach vacations. They got married on the beach in Puerto Vallarta, and then vacationed on many other beaches, sometimes with their grandkids. They built a beach style house on Lake Weatherford and liked to pretend they were living on the beach. Bobby loved his family and entertaining. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Lorene and Robert, and his sister, Adrienne.

Bobby is survived by his wife, Sylvia; his son and spouse, Rustin and Michelle and two grandchildren, Peyton and Payce; stepchildren, Angela and Christi, Sonya and Rob, Andrew and Amber and grandchildren, Jacob and Holly, Jude and Julia, Brandon, Cameron and Hope, Samuel and Nate; great grandchildren, Olivia and Elliott; along with his siblings, Pam and Bob, Terri and Reese.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 7, 2023, at Willow Park Baptist Church, 777 Crown Pointe Blvd, Willow Park, Texas 76087.
