Robert Lee Davis, Sr.

Robert Lee Davis, Sr., age 89, of Weatherford, Texas, was called home on Thursday morning, February 4, 2021, to be with our Lord and Savior. Robert was born July 22, 1931, in North Vernon, Indiana, to Frank and Bertha Davis. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Margie Griffin Davis and Anna Wilson Davis; daughter, Brenda Griffin; and son, Robert Lee Davis, Jr. 

He was retired from Bell Helicopter and enjoyed golfing, fishing and tinkering with mechanical devices.

Robert is survived by daughters, Pam McClure and husband, Bill of Hurst, Texas, Cindy Kuhns of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Carolyn Leenhouts and husband, Gregory Weatherford, Texas, Denise Leenhouts and husband, Ron of Arlington, Texas; sons, Ron Davis and wife, Kay of Fort Worth, Texas, Larry Davis and wife, Tammy of North Richland Hills, Texas, and Les Griffin of Virginia Beach, Virginia; sister, Doris (Sis) Mae Jones of Denison, Texas; brothers, Will Davis and wife, Carolyn of North Vernon, Indiana, Buzz Davis and wife, Darlene of North Vernon, Indiana; 16 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside committal service celebrating his life will held on Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., at Spring Creek Cemetery, south of Weatherford.
