Bob was born November 2, 1945 in New Haven, CT to Carl Benjamin and Josephine Mazzola. On June 24, 1967, he married the love of his life, Lyn Goegan in Dallas and together had two daughters, Anne-Marie and Tanya. Bob’s infectious personality made people gravitate to him, and he would become an instant loyal friend. He was an “angel to many” and was always willing to help anyone in need. He enjoyed “coffee visits” in his office with anyone who wanted to engage in conversation. Bob had a passion for vintage airplanes and enjoyed restoring classic cars which included his pride and joy ‘61 Chevy Impala bubble top. It had to be red!!

A true patriot, Bob proudly served and defended his country for 9 years in the US Army serving three tours in Vietnam. Bob received Certificates of Appreciation from Presidents Kennedy, Johnson, and Nixon. His military career included three Vietnam Service Metals with three Bronze Stars with “V” for valor, two Purple Hearts, a Silver Star, Army Commendation Medal with “V” Device, Meritorious Unit Emblem, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device (1960), Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm Unit Citation Badge, Combat Infantryman Badge, Parachutist Badge and Taiwanese Jump Wings, and Expert Badge with Automatic and Rifle Bars.

Most of all, Bob was a man devoted to his family and cherished time spent with wife, daughters and grandchildren.
