Robert Earl Owens

Robert Earl Owens, 67, of Weatherford, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 20, 2011 in a Fort Worth hospital. Robert was born August 23, 1943 in Agnes, Texas to Robert and Bertha Mae Owens.  He was an employee of Stripling and Cox department store in maintenance for 42 years, a Minister since 1970 in the Fort Worth and Weatherford area and Pastor for Eureka Baptist Church for the last six years.  Robert had a loving spirit with a servant’s heart, he loved his family and loved the ministry. Survivors: Wife of 47 years, Billie Owens of Weatherford, daughters, Martha Bailey and husband Charles of North Richland Hills, Deborah Cargin and husband James of Lake Worth, sisters, Ethel Lester and husband Gene of Reno, Mary Jones of Roby Mississippi, brother, Jim Owens and wife Jackie of Weatherford, grandchildren, Aaron Bailey, Heather Bailey, Sarah Bailey, Tray Barnes, Bobby Mann and wife Felisha, Gary Mann and Zak Cargin.
 
Funeral service 2 pm Tuesday, May 24, 2011 in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Interment in East Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation 6-8 pm Monday at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
