Robert Gerold Wedel

Robert Gerold Wedel, age 64, of Weatherford, passed away Thursday September 17, 2009.  Robert was born September 21, 1944 in Enid, Oklahoma to Clyde and Pearl Wedel.  He worked for Oliver Dyers Appliances in Fort Worth for 13 years.  Previously, he owned and operated Wedel Appliance in Weatherford.  Robert loved to watch NASCAR, the Texas Rangers, and the Dallas Cowboy.  He also enjoyed fishing, camping, and boating.  His parents, and a grandson, Skyler Wedel, preceded him in death.
 
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl; daughter, Candace Russell, of Lufkin; stepdaughter, Kandie Calvert, of Attica, KS; son, Eric Wedel and wife Misty, of Weatherford; stepsons, David Lee Wedel Jr. and Darrell Ritter, both of Attica, KS; sister, Liz Bush and husband Marty, of Arizona; six grandchildren, Jessica Morgan, Taylor Wedel, Erica Wedel, Brittney Russell, Aubry Wedel, and Saber Wedel; four step grandchildren, Brandon, Wanda, Tyler, and Trever; one great grandson, Cole Morgan; niece, S. Taylor, and a nephew, Guy Stevens.
 
Funeral service will be held Sunday September 20, 2009 at 2 PM in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel and interment will be in Attica Cemetery in Attica KS. Visitation will be 6 to 8 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
