Robert Leslie Pond

Robert Leslie Pond, 84, of Garner, died May 22, 2010 in a Weatherford hospital.  He was born November 21, 1925 in Garner to H. O. and Myrtle Finger Pond.  He was a deacon of Garner Baptist Church and a retired heavy equipment operator.  He was a veteran of World War 2 serving in the U.S. Army.
 
Survivors include his wife Polly Pond; daughters: Wilma Jean Babb of Fort Worth and Carolyn Key of Garner; 3 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; nieces: Cecilia Ann Barrett and Wanda Joyce Duran.
 
Services will be at 2 PM, Wednesday, May 26, 2010, at Garner Baptist Church.  Burial will be in Authon Cemetery.  Visitation is from 6 – 8 PM, Tuesday at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
