Robert Liptack, age 78, of Hudson Oaks, died early Tuesday morning, May 21, 2013 in the local hospital. He was born January 17, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan. Mr. Liptack was a member of the St. Stephens Catholic Church, He graduated from the Henry Ford Trade School in Detroit, Michigan, becoming a Machinist. He served in the US Navy from 1955-1958 as an engineman on Naval vessels. He worked at Detroit Diesel Engine Division of General Motors for 33 years, retiring in 1987 In Dallas, Texas as Regional Claims Manager. Continuing his strong work ethic, after retirement From GM, Robert worked for more than 20 years for Industrial Power Truck & Equipment as a Service sales consultant. Robert was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, who enjoyed his workshop, traveling, Boating, golf and making people laugh. Hís daily goal was to always have a "productive" day. He will be very much missed by his family and many friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the V FW, Wounded Warriors' Project, ASPCA or a Charity of your choice.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Justine Liptack, brother, Louis Liptack and a daughter, Carrie Latham.

Wife of 27 years– Gayla Liptack of Hudson Oaks
Daughter – Dona Geron of Albuquerque
Sons – Larry Liptack and wife Charlotte of Deer Park
Scott Geron of Haslett
Six Grandchildren – Lauren, Juliet, Landon, Quinton, Justin and Jovanni
Two Great Grandchildren
Funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Friday, May 24, 2013 in St. Stephens Catholic Church with interment in Old Town West Cemetery in Bridgeport at 3 PM.
Visitation will be 7-8:30 PM, Thursday, May 23, 2013 at the funeral home.
