Robert D. Rhyneer

Robert Doyle Rhyneer, age 74, passed from this life on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. Robert was born September 14, 1950, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Le Roy and Faye Rhyneer.

In 1969, his brother was drafted into the military, but Robert volunteered to go in his place - he and his friends joined the Marines. He proudly served in the 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion (3rd Recon Bn) of the United States Marine Corps; they played a vital role in the Vietnam War by providing intelligence.

Following his military service, Robert was an avid woodworker; for many years he created cabinets, tools, and wood mockups for plane manufacturer, McDonnell Douglas, that merged with Boeing in 1997; he retired from Boeing in 2002.

In his retirement years, Robert liked to fish. Above all, he loved his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and by seven siblings, David, Linda, Donald, Kenneth, William, Donna, and Mary.

Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years, Karen (Roy) Rhyneer of Weatherford, Texas; daughter, Heather Rhyneer; son, Adam Rhyneer; son, Matthew Snow and wife, Whitney; son, Chance Snow and wife, Stacia; son, Casey Snow and wife, Stacey; adored grandchildren, Parker Hester, Kinsley Snow, Brazos Snow, Delaney Snow, Kaden Snow, Brynlee Snow, and Weslyn Snow; nephews, Randy Rhyneer and Ryan Rhyneer; and two siblings, Sandy Wilson and Glenda Brown.

Mr. Rhyneer will be interred at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, in Dallas, Texas, on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at 10:15 a.m.
