Rodney L. Miner, Sr.

  Rodney L. Miner, Sr., passed from this earthly life on Monday, February 19, 2024, at the age of 79. Born on September 17, 1944, in Los Angeles, California, he was the cherished son of John Wright and Gladys Faye Miner. Known for his craftsmanship, Rodney was the proud owner of Rod's Custom Floors. His passion for music resonated through his skilled guitar playing. Rodney found joy in the simplicity of life, whether it was working on cars, spending time with animals, indulging in his tinkering hobbies, or perfecting the art of barbecuing. His love for antiquities added depth to his appreciation for the past.

  Rodney leaves behind his devoted wife, Cheryl J. Miner, of Weatherford, Texas; his daughter and fiancé, Debbie Wall and Greg Schweizer; his daughter and son-in-law, Stacy and Brent Wilburn; his son and daughter-in-law, Rodney, Jr. and Shelley Miner. He will be fondly remembered by his six grandchildren: Chase Brickey, Chaley Sims, Meagan Plowman, Cayden Wall, Kaylee Miner, and Cruz Wilburn. Rodney's memory will also be cherished by his siblings: Margaret Secrest, Susan Reed, Marilyn Statum, Glenn Miner, and Julie Zehner. His presence will be deeply missed by all who were touched by his warmth and kindness.

  Rodney was preceded in death by his son, Donald Piantanida.

  A funeral service honoring Rodney's life will take place at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, in Weatherford, Texas, followed by interment at East Greenwood Cemetery.

  Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Monday, February 26, 2024, at the funeral chapel.
