Roger Delano Hudgins

Roger Delano Hudgins, 75, coasted into heaven on a “slow bell”, one of Roger’s favorite sayings from his Coast Guard days, on August 15, 2012.

Roger was born October 8, 1936 in Fort Worth to Dillard and Velma Hudgins.
Roger served 22 years in the United States Coast Guard as Chief Petty Officer from 1955 to 1977.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Carol Hudgins and son, David Hudgins.
Roger is survived by wife, Zelma Hudgins of Weatherford TX; sons, Terry Hudgins and his wife, Vickie of North Carolina, Eddy Roach of Nashville, TN; daughters, Luanne and her husband, Neil Livingston of Decatur, TX, Leanne and her husband Mark Peterson of Decatur; grandchildren, Josh, Shae, Shelby, Bubba, Kelley and Amanda; and brothers, Johnny Hudgins and Richard Womack.

A memorial service will be held at 10 am Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel.
