Roland Edward Thomason

Roland Edward Thomason, born May 21, 1947 in Ft Worth passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 27, 2017 in Weatherford at age 70.
Lovingly known to his friends as "Bob", he is also remembered by some as a boss and by many as a friend. Bob was happy, full of life and was sometimes called "The Candy Man". Always giving to others, whether it was a joke, tootsie rolls, or just unconditional love. He was active in the Weatherford community as a business owner, a member of the Lions Club, and through other charitable ventures.
Roland loved his children more than himself, and often referred to Courtney, Christie, Jason, and Ashley as his greatest achievement. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Funeral services to be held 2 pm, Tuesday, Aug 1, 2017 at Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel with a reception immediately following. Visitation will be from 12 pm-2 pm. Burial is 10 am, Wednesday, August 2 at Laurel Land Cemetery in Fort Worth.
