Ronald Delward Smith

  Graveside services for Ronald Delward Smith, age 69, are to take place at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Clark Cemetery, in Weatherford, Texas, with Chaplain Carol Bratton officiating. 
 
  Ronald was born in Hale Center, Texas on November 4, 1954, and passed away on May 19, 2024, in Midlothian, Texas. He was born to Freddie Curtis Smith and Maevis Marie Nix Smith. The two sets of grandparents were Willie Delward Nix and Janie Brunner Nix, and Fred Smith and Eva Hayes Smith.
 
  Ronald attended Hale Center, Texas public schools. He was married to Cheryl Savage Smith on June 8, 1991 at Peaster Baptist Church in Peaster, Texas. They resided in Weatherford, Texas, then relocated to the Grand Canyon where Cheryl was a teacher and he was a jewelry maker. After his wife, Cheryl, passed away, he moved back to Weatherford.
 
  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Cheryl Savage Smith; sister, Glenda Smith Kay; and brother, Curtis Smith, Jr.
 
  Survivors included sister, Gwen Smith Osment; daughter, Amanda Tapia; stepson, Jason Evartt; six grandchildren; nieces, Tammy Humphrey, Sheryl Brunson, and Sharlotte Dalton; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
