Ronald Wayne Prunty

Ronald Wayne Prunty, 64, passed from this life on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Medical City Fort Worth hospital. Ronald was born September 6, 1958, in Dallas, Texas to Lawrence Earl Prunty and Wanda Sue (Gentry) Prunty.

In December 1988 on a blind date, he met Tammie Carol Roberts. He had always said it was love at first sight and he knew instantly she was the one. He asked her father for her hand in marriage. On November 18, 1989, the two became husband and wife, and together raised a beautiful family. Ronald was a loving husband, father, granddad, and papa.

He worked for Walmart in Hudson Oaks where he received Employee of the Year multiple times.

Ronald had intense feelings whenever it came to eating, Dr. Pepper, Dallas Cowboys and any other football team, fishing, hunting, and even more so when it came to playing cards or board games. One of his usual responses was ‘I know that’s right’. Ronald will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Ronald was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Prunty, and his brother, Rocky Prunty.

Ronald is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Tammie Prunty of Weatherford, Texas; children, Alonzo Prunty (Emily), Joshua Prunty (Lina), Jillian Croasdale (Joshua); grandchildren, Ally, Briggs, Colton, Paydence, Grace, and Samuel; mother, Wanda Sue Prunty; father and mother-in-law, Theron and Rose Roberts; sister, Carole (Ullom) Tokosh; sister-in-law, Kimberly Prunty; brother-in-law, Dierk Roberts (Amy) niece, Tonya Meinhardt (Bob); nephew, Sean Ullom (Kelley); nieces, Patricia Tillery (Wade), Karri and Kristi Roberts; and numerous extended family members.

A memorial service honoring Ronald will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 20, 2023, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, Weatherford, Texas 76086. Reverend Jack Hunt is officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., one hour prior to the start of the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donation be made to the American Heart Association in memory of Ronald Wayne Prunty.
