Rosa Vaudine (Nelson) Bullington

Rosa Vaudine (Nelson) Bullington passed away Tuesday, August 2nd, 2011.  Vaudine was born in Parker County, Texas on August 23rd, 1924 to Lena Carter Nelson and Samuel Daniel (Dan) Nelson. She graduated from Weatherford High School, attended Texas Business College and worked for First National and Citizen's Banks. She married George Raymond (Ray) Bullington (also from Parker County, a WWII veteran) on August 23rd, 1947. They moved to Odessa, Texas in 1948. In addition to being a homemaker and a loving mother, she assisted in her husband's business, participated in various social and charitable organizations. She volunteered for many years at Odessa Medical Center with the Ladies' Auxiliary, serving two terms as president. In 2008, she returned to her birthplace, Weatherford, and resided at Martin Crest Assisted Living. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ray. Vaudine was loved by many and will be dearly missed by all. She was a faithful servant of the Lord and now rests in His Hands. Survivors: Sister, Marjorie McKinzie; children, Alan Ray Bullington and wife, Susie, and Rhonda Marlene Ashing and husband, Wayne; four grandchildren, Amy Renee Enger and husband, Eric, Collin Wayne Ashing and wife, Christina, Sara Jae Bullington, and Tiffini Rae Ashing; three great-grandchildren, Allison Rae Enger, James Pierson Enger, and Chloe Isabell Ashing; one nephew and four nieces, Dorothy Davis, Bill McKinzie, Lynda Ferguson, Kara McKinzie and Lisa Clark; and several close cousins (Carter and Nelson Families), many long time friends and recent friends at Martin Crest.

Funeral Service: 10 am Friday, August 5th at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel in Weatherford, Texas followed by interment at Tin Top Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday evening, between 7 pm and 8 pm at the funeral home.
