Rose M. Davis

Rose M. Davis, 97, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2022, with her daughter Pat and friend Janet Ralston by her side. She was born November 28, 1924, in Providence, Rhode Island. She was the oldest of four daughters born to Antonio and Christine Bellafonte Bertone. Rose moved to Pensacola, Florida where she retired from the Escambia County Tax Assessor. Rose and her husband Neal, were avid travelers, visiting the Vatican was by far her favorite trip. She later moved to Weatherford, Texas to live near her daughter. She was a devoted member of St. Stephen Catholic Church for the 21 years she resided in Weatherford. Rose adored Father Mike O'Sullivan and Father Emmet O'Hara, loved the Lord and faithfully attended daily services, even when it was physically difficult. 

Rose was preceded in death by her parents, infant twin brother, husband, Neal Davis, sister, Cecelia Donavan, grandsons, Tommy and Steve Rasbeary, and her nephew, Eddie Palumbo. 

She is survived by her sisters, Anna Palumbo and Marie Burgh; children, Pat Rasbeary (Jim) of Weatherford, Barbara Moretti (Mike) of Rhode Island, and Eddie Shirley (Mindy) of Florida; many grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Rose lived a wonderful life and will be loved and missed by all that knew her, especially her great-great granddaughter Braylee who visited her often. 

A special thank you to West Fork Assisted Living for their outstanding care; Julie and Greg Lynch, Cristina Guelda and Dorothy Wesolowski for taking her many places, Margie Benscoter, Elese Hadsell, and Janet Ralston for keeping her company during her last days.

Rosary will be from 6:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m., Friday, April 1, 2022, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel 913 N. Elm St with a visitation from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 2, 2022, at St. Stephen Catholic Church 1802 Bethel Rd, in Weatherford with interment to follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
