Rose Marie Southern, 60, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2022, at her home in Santo, Texas, surrounded by family and loved ones. Rose was born February 7, 1962, in Mineral Wells, Texas, to Richard Lively and Mary Soto.
Rose was married to David Allen Southern, on June 7, 1980, in Mineral Wells, Texas. Rose worked at Red’s grocery Store in Palo Pinto for many years then worked at the Dairy Mart for several years after, she left work to be a housewife and mother; she was very dedicated to teaching and raising her children. She was a member of Palo Pinto County Cowboy Church where she enjoyed worshiping the Lord with her friends and family.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Lively, Mary Baker; stepfather, Fred Baker; brother, Ricky Lively and sister-in-law, Ginger Lively.
Rose is survived by her husband of 42 years, David Southern of Santo, Texas; daughter, Kaitlyn Southern of Santo, Texas; son, Richard Southern of Santo, Texas; son, Cody Southern of Santo, Texas; sister, Judy Lowe and husband, Chuck of Graford, Texas; brother, Butch Lively and wife, Michele of Lipan, Texas; brother, Donny Lively of Mineral Wells, Texas; brother, Tim Baker of Mineral Wells, Texas; and granddaughter, Lexie; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial will be Thursday, March 24, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at: Palo Pinto County Cowboy Church, 2731 FM 129, Santo, Texas 76472.
