Roy "Fuzzy" Lynn Scroggins

Roy Lynn Scroggins departed from this life on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at the age of 67. He was born January 10, 1956, in Nacogdoches, Texas, to the late Leon Scroggins and Dorothy (Vaco) Scroggins.

Roy had recently moved to Weatherford to live with daughter, Melissa and husband Amador. The last three years Roy was able to get to know his grandchildren, experience vacations to the beach, road trips, holidays with his children and grandchildren and developed a love for the casino. This was an opportunity Roy had lacked in his life. Roy was cared for and loved in such a way that unfortunately, he would never know the depth of.

Roy was known to the people closest to him as "Fuzzy". He lived with his late brother, Gerald Scroggins most of his life. Roy was there for his brother Gerald until his brother's passing and continued to sleep every night with his ashes beside his bed. Roy was never the same after losing his brother. As of Wednesday, the 4th, we can celebrate Roy's life and the memories he left us and know he and his brother are back together again.

Roy enjoyed having a good time and spending evenings with those closest to him. He loved cars and had endless stories of the cars he owned, raced and occasionally wrecked. He was known as a very kind and sweet man, he was dearly loved and will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Roy is survived by his son, Roy Scroggins, Jr. and wife, Pamela; daughter, Melissa Martinez and husband, Amador; daughter, Kerri Scroggins; grandchildren, Madison, Max, Easton, Hailey, Mason, and Hayden; brother, James; sisters, Betty, Helen, Jeanette, and Mary Jo; and many other loving family and friends.

A private family memorial will be held, and a public memorial service and graveside will be held in Willis, Texas, at a later date.
