Roy Lynn Ferris

Roy Lynn Ferris, 78 years old, died on December 10, 2020, at home in Weatherford, Texas. A memorial service will be held at North Side Baptist Church, in Weatherford, where he was a member since 2008. The service will be on Thursday, at North Side Baptist Church, at 2:00 p.m., with a reception to follow in the fellowship hall.

Roy was born on October 1, 1942, in Melvin, Texas, to Elberta and Cleo Ferris, and was the youngest child of eight. He owned and operated Roy's Barber Shop in Azle, Texas for thirty plus years. He was known for his beautiful smile and hearty laugh and was a sweet soul.

Roy was survived by his wife of thirty-eight years, Judy; son, Brad and husband, Bryan; daughter, Charlotte Paterson; daughter, Darla Darby and husband, Mike; two granddaughters, Jessica Perry, and Kellus Eudy and husband, Weston; and two great granddaughters, Ava and Arden Perry; one brother, Billy Joe; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give special thanks to the aids and nurses with Encompass Health and Hospice for their loving care.
