Ruth Annie Woods

Ruth Woods, age 97, of Weatherford, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2017, at home with her family by her side. Ruth was born October 19 1920, in Temple Texas, to William and Annie Douglas Fyke. She was a Beautician and Homemaker for many years. Ruth enjoyed working on crafts, was an excellent seamstress and took great pride in the vegetables and flowers she grew in her greenhouse. She was a strong believer in the Christian faith and took great care of her children and grandchildren.

Ruth is survived by her grandchildren, Leah Riedel and husband, Rodney, Donna Blaylock and husband, David; great-grandchildren, Colby McLin, Mallory Riedel, Jonathan Blaylock; great-great-grandchildren, Matthew Wilke, Haylee Wilke, Stella Wilke, Belle Blaylock, Annie Blaylock, and Victor Uvalle; her sister, Billie Forbes; niece, Vicki Gaynier; and nephew, Keary Forbes.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of over 72 years, John "Pete" Woods; daughters, Linda Ratts and Shirley Woods; father, William Fyke; mother, Annie Douglas Fyke; and brother, Lawrence Fyke.

Visitation 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Interment private at a later date.
