Obituary: Sandra Anne Haydon
On December 2, 2015, surrounded by family and close friends, Sandra Anne Haydon (69), wife of Randy Haydon, lost her battle with cancer. Her presence in the Weatherford/Mineral Wells communities will be missed because her happy smile and her willingness to help with any community project.
Sandy was born in Austin, Texas to Dr. and Mrs. Claude Irvine, but grew up in Mineral Wells where she graduated from Mineral Wells High School in 1964. She attended Weatherford College and soon after married Randy Haydon, started a family and made a home in Weatherford. She spent 28 years working in several U.S. governmental agencies and retired from civil Service after 28 years. She loved retirement and spending time with her husband and family at their lake home on Possum Kingdom Lake. She loved the outdoors and was an avid supporter of her granddaughters’ activities in the Brock ISD. These interests kept her busy as long as she was able.
Sandy is survived by her husband Randy Haydon, two sons, Randall Haydon, his wife Kathleen; Joel Haydon his wife Amy, and their two daughters, Mamie Catherine and Caroline. She is also survived by first cousins Linda Kay Nicodemus, husband Luke, Nan Albaum; niece Tonja Murphey and husband Mick, sons Michael and Brett; nephews Tracey Brown, Kevin and Kyle Link.
Visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Friday, December 4, with services at 10:00am on Saturday, December 5, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel in Weatherford, Texas. Graveside services will be held at Woodland Park Cemetery, 2600 S. Oak in Mineral Wells, Texas
The family is greatly appreciative of the care given to her by her doctors, nurses, and the Hospice organization. They would encourage any memorial donations be made to the Parker County Committee on Aging, P.0 Box 817, Weatherford, Texas 76086
