Sandra Sue Smith

  Sandra Sue Smith, age 65, of Weatherford, died Tuesday, May 25, 2010, in the local hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Born July 15, 1944, in Weatherford, where she had lived all her life. Sandra was a homemaker, receptionist for Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel and member of the Calvary Baptist Church.   

  She loved her family, grandkids, church family, game room friends, gardening and bird watching in the morning.  

  She was preceded in death by her parents, Georgia Faye Sipes and J.W. "Curly" Sipes; son, Shorty; grandaughter, Cheyanna and sister, Belinda. 

  Survivors include loving husband of 49 years, Marvin Smith of Weatherford; daughters, Tamra Tinney and husband, Larry of Weatherford and Alisha Evans of Weatherford; sister and best friend, Bobbie Faye Cook of Weatherford; brother, Gary Sipes and wife, Cindy of Millsap; brothers and sisters in law, Billie Howard, Clyde Smith, Loyd Smith, Patricia Brown, Milton Smith, Carl Smith, Jerry Smith, Buford Smith, Debbie Lack, Sherry Robertson, Lorretta Davis, Larry Smith, John Tom Smith, and Melinda Smith; six grandchildren, Bryce, Kolton, Shawnee, Taylor, Dustin, Tylor; and four great grandchildren; hero and uncle, Bobby Sipes; life long friend, Marcie Colvard; and favorite preacher, Cris Powell.
 
  Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 29, 2010, in the Spring Creek Baptist Church, with interment in Spring Creek Cemetery.

  Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 28, 2010, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, P. O. Box 2123, Weatherford, Texas 76086.
