Sapopan Naal (Chata), 89 of Weatherford died January 20, 2012 at Crescent Nursing Home in Weatherford, Texas. Mrs. Naal was born June 14, 1922 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Mrs. Naal spent much of her youth in Mexico living on a ranch and spending her teenage years working on the ranch. She later moved to Mexico City as a young lady where she met the dream of her life, Manuel; married and had four children while living in Mexico City. Chata, as she was affectionately known, and Manuel made several trips to the United States separately to work and earn enough money to purchase their passports and visas to move the family to the United States. A resident of Weatherford since 1955, Mrs. Naal worked several jobs before opening a few restaurants with her husband, Manuel; their most popular being the “Red Barn Restaurant” on Fort Worth Hwy. Upon their retirement Chata and Manuel enjoyed their many trips to California to be with their children and especially enjoyed their special trip to England to visit their daughter. Survivors include her two daughters: Frances Neave and her husband Francisco of Granbury, TX, her daughter Elizabeth Clark and her husband Bill of Oceanside, CA. Her four sons; Manuel Naal and his wife Betty of Weatherford, TX, her son Fred Naal and his wife Lisa of Lakewood, CA, her son Joe Naal and his wife Nellie of Ontario, CA and her son Cesar Naal and his wife Nelda of Waxahachie, TX. Mrs. Naal’s extended family consist of nineteen Grand Children, twenty one Great Grand Children and five Great-Great Grand Children.
