Scott Alan Skipper

July 13, 1974 — November 11, 2017

Emblem

Scott Alan Skipper went home to Heaven and met Jesus face to face on November 11, 2017. He is survived by his devoted wife of 23 years, Heather Skipper; sons, Kyler (22), Koby (19), Kaden (17), and Keagen Skipper (14); daughter, Khloe Skipper (4); father, Steve Skipper and wife, Anita; mother, Cathy Armstrong and husband, Floyd; sisters, Shelli Acker and Sara DeLeon; brothers, Josh and Joe David Skipper; and stepsisters, Heather Randolph and Jessica Cerrone.

Scott grew up in Red Oak, Texas. He enlisted in the army in January of 1994, and he and Heather married in May of the same year. While in the army for 4 years, they lived in Georgia and Colorado. His career in pipeline welding began when they moved to Alaska in 2001. Three years later, they put roots down in Brock, Texas. Scott was a hard worker, providing for his family. He loved fishing, the beach, and spending time with family and friends. He loved fiercely and always had your back. He was a man who thought you could never have too many trucks or you could never work too hard. He had a gypsy soul that led his family on many exciting adventures. And while he'd be the first to tell you that he didn't always make the best choices, he was known for telling his kids things like "Be respectful of your mom", "Be your own person", "Be responsible for yourself," and "Do what's right, and let God guide you."

As a husband, father, son, brother, and friend to many, he will be greatly missed. Gone, but never forgotten, Scott will forever be in the hearts of all of those he touched over the years. So instead of "Good-bye", we will say "See you later" as we know he is spending eternity with Jesus, and one day, we will see him again.
