Scotty Derek Parker, 47, of Granbury, died Sunday, May 30, 2010. Derek was born on August 31, 1962, in Weatherford, to Scotty and Edith Parker.
He was manager for O’Reilly Auto Parts in Crowley and a former exhaust repair specialist. Derek was a member of the Church of Christ and the Burleson Bass Club. He was an avid fisherman, loved camping, canoeing and spending time with his family.
Derek was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Roy Van Parker.
He is survived by his wife, Melinda Parker of Granbury; sons, Brian Parker of Fort Worth, SSgt. Parker Jeremy D., USMC of Cherry Pointe, North Carolina; brothers, Daniel Parker and wife, Christy of Weatherford, Whalen Parker and wife, Lynn of Alvarado, Kent Parker and Leonardo Jaramillo of Albuquerque, New Mexico; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral service 2:00 p.m., Thursday, in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
Visitation 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Galbreaith Pickard.
