Sharry Lynn Jones

  Sharry Lynn Jones, age 49, of Weatherford, won her battle with cancer and earned her angel wings on September 30, 2016, surrounded by family and friends in the Vitas Hospice unit in Fort Worth, Texas. Sharry worked as the Human Resource/Payroll clerk at Holland Lake Nursing Center in Weatherford since January 2010. During her time there, she made many friends that were by her side during her strong and courageous fight with cancer.

  Sharry was involved in many community events and fundraisers. Relay for Life, where she served as team captain for the Holland Lake Fighting Swan team, Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign, Meals on Wheels delivery, Ms. Senior Parker County Pageant and the WHS Band Fan Club. She was always doing a fundraiser for something. Her motto was “Have glue gun - will travel!” 

  Sharry is survived by her husband of 29 years, Jay and sons, Mark Kiesling and Brandon Jones; mother, Diana Blake; father, Wally Burns; brother, John Burns and wife, Kerri; grandmother, Francis Crabb; mother-in-law, Bobbie Mitchell; father-in-law, Bob Jones and wife, Linda; brother-in-law, David Jones and wife, Joann; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

  Visitation will be Tuesday evening, October 4, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, with the service being held at 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, October 5, 2016, in the chapel, Don Webster officiating. Interment will be in the Dicey Cemetery.
