Shirley Ruth Jones

Shirley Ruth Jones, our beloved Mom and Maw Maw passed away on February 26, 2010. Born on December 2, 1935 in Sabine County, TX to Jewel and Oscar Kelley. She was a retired beautician. She worked at North Main Beauty Shop. She then owned and operated Shirl’s Beauty Box for many years until she retired. She loved spending time with family and friends, especially her grand kids. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, four sisters, and her husband and love of her life, Marlin Royce Jones. She is survived by sons, Thomas David Maxwell and wife Christine, Rickey Dale Maxwell and wife Wanda, Gary Lynn Maxwell and wife Faye, and Donald Ray Maxwell and wife Stacey, sisters, Evelyn White and Nancy Womack, brothers, Bobby Kelley and Ed Kelley, special sister in law, Patsy Cummings, 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and numerous other family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 3 PM Tuesday March 2, 2010 at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with interment in Greenwood Community Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
