St. Elmo “Fat and Sassy” Searcy, 83, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2012.
St. Elmo was born November 2, 1928 in Picher, Oklahoma to Elmo and Josephine Searcy. He served in the United States Army in the 5th Calvary.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a son, St. Elmo Searcy, Jr.
St. Elmo is survived by his wife of 64 years, Betty Ann Searcy; children, Deborah Josephine Helton and her husband, James of North Richland Hills, Beverly Noblit and her husband, Nathan of Marshall, Curtis Byron Searcy of Cleveland, Arkansas, Phillip Searcy and his wife, Mylinda of Cabot, Arkansas, Scott Searcy of Euless; sister, Marjorie Grimes of Martinez, California; brother, Charles Searcy of Joplin, Missouri; 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held 10 am Monday, September 3, 2012 at
Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel.
Visitation will be held 2-4 pm
Sunday, September 2, 2012 at the funeral home.
