Stacey Michelle Gillum

Stacey Michelle Gillum passed away March 9, 2011 in Weatherford at the age of 40.  She was born May 24, 1970 in Fort Worth, Texas. She graduated from Peaster High School and received her BA from Tarleton College in Stephenville.

She was long time resident of Weatherford, teaching 7th grade Texas History at Granbury, Lake Worth and Azle Junior High.  She loved teaching Texas History and coaching her girls in basketball and volleyball.  Stacey always had a smile and loved to joke around.

Survivors: Mother and Step Father- Paulette and Howard Plumlee; Brother – Clinton Gillum and wife Anita; Step Brothers – Stephen Plumlee and wife, Nancy, Jeff Plumlee and wife, Manette; Nephew – Quinton Gillum; Stepnieces and nephews – Sebastian, Makayla and Jared; Grandmother – N. Jean Holmes; Aunt – Jayme Meier and husband Eric; Several aunts, uncles and cousins from Kansas and Arkansas and a host of friends.

Funeral service will be held at 1 PM, Saturday, March 12, 2011 in the North Side Baptist Church with interment in East Greenwood Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society.
