It is with great sadness that the family of Stanley Gregg announces his passing after a courageous battle with mental illness on Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at the age of 61.
Stan will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 40 years, Kandi; and his children, Suzanne and husband, Joey, Stacey and husband, Marc; parents, Bob and Carolyn Gregg; siblings, Steven and wife, Betty Gregg, Clarice and husband, Dwain Fuller, and Robert and wife, Della Gregg. Stan will also be fondly remembered by his five grandchildren, Jaxon, Zoe, Eli, Indie, and Max.
Stanley was born on August 19, 1956, to Bob and Carolyn Gregg in Searcy, Arkansas. He grew up in Lawton, Oklahoma where he met Kandi. He and Kandi were married on May 28, 1977. They moved to Ft. Worth where he joined the US Air Force. He served for a total 6 years. Stan and Kandi raised their girls in Arlington, Texas where they were members of the Pleasant Ridge Church of Christ. They have lived the last 6 years in Weatherford, Texas and have been active members of the Oak Ridge Church of Christ. Stan worked for the State of Texas for the past 16 years.
A funeral service in memory of Stan will be held on Monday, March 19, 2018, at 10:00 a.m., at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm St. Weatherford, Texas. Visitation: 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.
