Stella Beatrice Rust Goodnight

Stella Beatrice Rust Goodnight, 90, of Weatherford, passed away on Wednesday August 18, 2010 in a Weatherford nursing facility.  She was born September 29, 1919 in Cleburne to Virgil and Mary Rust.  Bea graduated from Electra High School.  She married Rayford Daniel Goodnight on May 18, 1939 in Electra.  Later in life she attended Odessa College and earned her degree in nursing.  She served in the nursing profession for almost twenty years before retiring.  Bea has been a member of several First United Methodist Churchs.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Virgil Gordon and Mary Jane Cummins Rust; brothers, Vernice Glendan Rust, Joe Marion Rust, Benjamin Washington Rust, James Cole Rust and Roy Douglas Rust as well as her sisters, May Rust Derby and Hattie Marie Rust Stephens.  Survivors include her husband Rayford Daniel Goodnight of Weatherford; son, James Goodnight and wife Rochelle of Waco; daughter, Nancy Goodnight Hard and husband Meredith of Weatherford; grandchildren, Dr. Steve Hard and wife Barbara of Weatherford, Julie Goodnight of Waco, William Goodnight and wife Rhonda of Richardson and Brian Goodnight and wife Wendy of West and seven great grandchildren, Curtis Hard, Colton Hard, Brazos Hard, Bailey Goodnight, Truit Goodnight, William Goodnight and Mary Elizabeth Bingham.  A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM in the First United Methodist Church on Saturday August 21, 2010, a family visitation will follow in the family life center.
