Steve “Papaw” Vincent passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at the age of 71. He was born on December 21, 1952, in Weatherford, Texas. Steve was a cherished husband and loving father who dedicated 30 years of his life to the road construction industry. He retired as a Vice President at Austin Bridge and Road.
He was a gentle soul known for his crystal blue eyes and passion for the outdoors. Steve found joy in golfing, fishing, hunting, and riding his beloved tractor. He also had a fondness for the occasional trip to the casino. However, above all else, his devotion to his family shone brightest.
Steve was preceded in death by his father, Jack Vincent; mother, Bobbye Vincent Huntsucker; stepfather, Clayton Huntsucker; and brother, Rusty Vincent.
He is survived by his wife, Kim of 30 years; daughters, Jennifer Pryor (Brandon) and Jill Manning (Brian); grandchildren, Aubrey, Jack, Kinley, Meri, and Landry; sisters, Sheron Brackeen (Rod) and Debbie Foster (Gene); stepbrother, Doug Huntsucker (Marilyn); his aunts, Barbara Adams (Darwin), Gayle Bevers, and Kay Vincent; along with several nieces.
Steve's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. If you were lucky enough to be in his circle then you were there for life. He was a man of few words but wise, so when he spoke, people listened. His legacy of love and dedication to his family will forever be remembered.
In accordance with his wishes the family will not be having a memorial service.
