Sylvia Gwen Phelan

Sylvia Phelan, age 87, of Weatherford, died Thursday evening, January 30, 2014 in a local nursing home.  Born November 22, 1926 in Aledo, a resident of Parker County for many years.  She was a homemaker, custodian at Sam Houston Elementary School and member of the Harmony Baptist Church. Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband, Earl M. Phelan, daughter, Nona Beth Phelan and daughter-in-law, Beth Phelan.
Survivors:
Son – Larry Don Phelan of Weatherford
Two Grandsons – Scott Phelan and wife, Mandy
                              Kevin Phelan and wife, Laura
Two Great Grandchildren – Cooper Phelan and Payton Phelan
Sisters – Birdie Gandee of Weatherford
               Evelyn Sosebee of Weatherford

Funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, February 4, 2014, in the Harmony Baptist Church with interment in the Bethel Cemetery.  Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be 6-8 PM, Monday, February 3, 2014, at the funeral home.
